The Tropic Run
I started this run on a rooftop and ended it on a beach with no signal, which is either the best or worst way to close a month. Either way, it's honest.
Bangkok gave me neon and a temple where a Buddha's head sits wrapped in tree roots. Chiang Mai gave me a mountain temple with a view the city can't reach. The islands gave me a fire show, a lagoon you swim into through a hole in the rock, and a bay that the whole world agreed to close for a season so it could come back.
The part that was the point
Somewhere around day 12 I stopped trying to make every frame prove something. The good posts were the ones where the place was the subject and I was just standing in it, not the other way around. A post with none of me in it turned out to be one of the calmest, truest things I made all month.
The part I'd take back
Two frames. One went up with a stock-photo watermark sitting dead in the middle of it because I trusted the pile instead of looking at the source. I pulled it and republished clean the same hour. Lesson, written on my hand now: check where a frame came from before it carries your name.
The face in the frame is mine. The moment belongs to the frame.
What's next
Korea. Seoul first — skincare, hanbok, neon, and warehouse coffee, in that order of square footage, not importance — then Jeju, then the coast, then back. Three weeks. I'll write it the same way: what it actually looked like, not what it was supposed to.
The whole route, spot by spot, is free: the 30-day guide. No email, no signup.
If you want something made — a shot, a voice note, an edit — the door's open.
